This policy explains what personal data Makerz collects when you visit makerz.pro or work with us, why we collect it, and the rights you have under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020. Last updated: 1 November 2026.

1. Who we are

Makerz Production House ("Makerz", "we", "us") is a media production company based in Sheikh Zayed, Giza, Egypt. For any privacy question or request, write to support@makerz.pro.

2. The data we collect

  • Data you give us: your name, email, phone number, company, role, message, project brief and any files you send.
  • Data from our work together: contracts, quotes, invoices, approvals and project communication.
  • People who appear in our productions: their image, voice and name, collected under a written release.
  • Data collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and referring site, through hosting logs and third-party services you choose to use.
  • Job applicants: CV, portfolio and contact details you send us.

We do not ask for sensitive data (such as health or religion) unless a project needs it, and then only with your explicit consent.

3. How we use your data

  • Reply to your enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • Deliver services, manage projects and communicate about them.
  • Issue invoices and meet legal and tax obligations.
  • Understand how the website is used and improve it.
  • Send news and offers, only if you agreed, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
  • Review job applications.
  • Protect our systems and prevent misuse.

4. Our legal grounds

We process personal data with your consent, when it is needed to prepare or perform a contract with you, when the law requires it, and for our legitimate interests that do not override your rights.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed with:

  • Service providers for hosting, email, analytics, cloud storage, project tools and payments, who process it on our behalf.
  • Freelancers, crew and partners working on your project, under confidentiality.
  • Advertising or distribution partners, only when you ask us to.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

6. Transfers outside Egypt

Some of our providers store data outside Egypt. We transfer personal data abroad only as the Personal Data Protection Law permits, including with your consent where it is required and with appropriate safeguards.

7. Cookies

We use browser storage to remember your theme preference. Our public marketing pages currently do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other analytics or advertising tags. Hosting providers may process essential technical data. Third-party services, such as the Google consultation form, apply their own privacy and cookie policies when you use them. If we introduce non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for consent before enabling them. You can control cookies and site storage in your browser settings.

8. How long we keep data

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: 12 months.
  • Project, contract and financial records: for the period the law requires.
  • Job applications: 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe.

9. How we protect data

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and restricted access to project files. No system is perfectly secure, but we act quickly on any incident and notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what data we hold about you and give you access to it.
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete or restrict the use of your data.
  • Withdraw a consent you gave.
  • Stop processing for a specific purpose.

You may also complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Centre. To use any right, email support@makerz.pro. We reply within the time the law allows and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

11. Children

Our website is not for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Any production that features a minor requires written consent from a parent or guardian.

12. Links to other sites

Our site may link to other websites, such as our clients' pages and social platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

13. Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page with a new "last updated" date. For significant changes we will also notify you where we can.
